Virginia Mason's Continuing Nursing Education provides educational activities for registered nurses (RNs) and other interested health-care professionals to enhance knowledge, increase skills and promote positive patient care outcomes. 12-lead ECG Interpretation for Cardiology Nurses and Techs — Sept. 29, 2020

This class is designed for inpatient and ambulatory nurses, monitor technicians, and cardiovascular lab technicians who use 12-lead ECGs in their clinical practice. This class will discuss:
- Anatomy of a 12-lead ECG
- How ECG leads monitor electrical activity
- How to identify abnormalities such as ST elevation and depression, bundle branch blocks, and aberrancy
Participants will practice with 12-lead ECG interpretation and developing a plan of care for a patient with a cardiac abnormality. Attendees should have a basic knowledge of rhythm recognition prior to attending.
